The Chief must be approved by the Family Convention of Currie (once called a Derbhfine) and recognized by the Lyon Court.
The Family Convention of Currie will be held at the Glasgow City Chambers (82 George Square, G2 1DU) on 14 November 2026 at 1:00 pm.
The Learned Kindred of Currie seeks to gain formal recognition of a Chief of the Name and Arms of Currie by the Lord Lyon King of Arms.
The Family Convention of Currie will vote for a Chief from among Candidates, who believe that they have the qualifications and interest to be considered for the Chiefship of the Name and Arms of the Learned Kindred of Currie. The Chief will be selected by a Family Convention, overseen by Roderick Macpherson, Unicorn Pursuivant, as the appointed Supervising Officer. Recognition will then be sought from the Lord Lyon, presiding over the Lyon Court.
